Because it takes several hours to conduct a new member lesson depending on group size, we will only offer new member class one time this next academic year.  This lesson involves range safety, eye dominance, a series of exercises and creation of their String Bow. New members will not have a lot of opportunity to shoot the bows on the first day but will shoot at least one flight depending on time.  TOA must be notified of your planned participation ahead of time via email confirmations. ---Next New Member Day will be September 12, 2017.   The only exceptions for the 2017-18 school year will be military families who are transferred in after this time.  Please follow the steps below.

  1. You contact Team Orion Archery via the contact page and ask to join.  There will be a  registration fee assessed of $25.00. (it can be paid at one time or as little as $5.00/month until paid in full) . Come on October 4, 2017 to Leu Civic Center and complete registration forms at that tim. We cannot take credit cards and are not able to make change on site. If you pay in cash it must be exact amount only.  THIS FEE IS NOT COLLECTED BY THE CIVIC CENTER.

  2. You must come to Leu Civic Center, located in Mascoutah, Illinois on NEW MEMBER DAY by 9:45 am to fill out the LCC membership application. You sign up for a FAMILY membership at the cost of $40/year.  This is not a fee that goes to the archery program at all.   This fee is a yearly fee and not collected by the team. This fee permits TOA to run their program through their center.

  3. You follow the link on this web site to order your shirts.  In most instances you can have shirts for pick up at the Troy store where they are made.  There are always members passing through that area on the way to practice and you can save a delivery fee. Shirt cost are only $9.30 and if Larger sized and will be an additional $2.00

  4. TOA meets on Tuesdays from 10am-12pm.  You can come every other week if that is what fits your need but to be successful you need to come at least twice per month.

  5.  There is a room for parents to keep younger siblings or to teach their students that are not participating in the program.

  6. You must be a resident of Illinois.  Your student must be 4th grade or higher.

  7. While there is no fee for weekly instruction there is a free will donation bucket in order to keep up with the cost of repair and replacement parts.  Team Orion Archery also has a PayPal account if you would prefer a written record of any donations.  TOA will not be giving reciepts for the pennies and dollars tossed into the bucket.  TOA is a not-for -profit organization but is not a 501c3 organization.
